I am surrounded by amazing places to hike. I can hop in my car and be at an amazing trail head in ten minutes. Gibson Jack is one of my all time favorites.
This trailhead used to be a small dirt parking lot. They have updated and made this an amazing place to come and hike.
Depending on the length of your hike there are a few different options. Any route is a great route to take. You will have beautiful scenery along the hike.
The hike is for all levels. It is important to wear comfortable shoes. I have done these trails in tennis shoes and hiking boots and had no issues with either.
There is a creek that runs through the canyon. It is small and not deep enough to do any type of fishing.
This is a great hike to do weighted hikes to get ready for hunting season. Every hike I take out my EXO Mtn pack with me.
There is a lot of high desert around us but this gem is just a few minutes from my home.
This trailhead is a special place to me and will forever be one of my favorite hikes. The views are incredible. It is my place to get away to clear my head. I have a deep connection to this place and some of the most amazing memories. Not many places that you can go and have peace and just be. This for me is that place.
