Targhee is hands down one of my favorite resorts. Great people, great runs, and great powder. We spend time at Targhee at least once a season since it is just a few hours from our house.
The views on the mountain are absolutely beautiful and alone worth the trip.
They have runs for all types of skill levels. They actually have a total of 97 different runs. We took their cat tracks the first time up which gave us some amazing views and understanding of the hill.
My favorite is all of the areas you can go off trail. These can be a little more difficult to discover but the more you understand the map, the more you see where you can go. You can learn a lot from those that come regularly too.
We have been on all four different lifts. The kids area is amazing for the little one's and is close to the terrain park. The hill is great for skiers and snowboarders.
These pics were from our first time to Targhee. We all ski now which has given us access to so many more different areas on the hill. The powder at Targhee is unlike anywhere we have been. It dumps out there so bluebird days are rare to hit just right unless you come regularly. It also does get extremely cold at times so make sure you are dressed for the conditions.
